Reading about Death Cap mushrooms. The phrase “…responsible for 90% of mushroom-related fatalities ever year,” is an incredible thing to say.

I’m trying to be reasonable and give grace to grieving fans after a brutal loss…but I think people like this should be banned from sporting events.

I am not the expert that @dieworkwear.bsky.social is, but I feel comfortable enough to say that Mike Nolan has that shit ON in this photo.

The story about the NHS surgeon purposefully removing his legs for a sex kink, only to then be thrown in jail, seems like an appropriate story to be above the King of Town from Homestar.

This was, more-or-less, a list of guys I always ended up with in Fantasy Drafts playing MVP Baseball 2004 or 2005. Chone Figgins was so fast, and I loved used Zito. Also, Ellis Burks was always a free agent pickup and he’d crush at the plate.

Finding this logo, slightly editing it, and then recoloring it is something I hope leads to us using it as a throwback a lot more.

Ultimately, the promoter took the CYC to court, and it made it to the PA Supreme Court, but the injunction to prevent the show from being canceled never came, and the show never happened. Ozzy eventually made it to Scranton, playing Montage a handful of times, including 1996.

The reaction was mixed. The kids that got tickets were obviously upset, and there were a few letters to the editor that went so far as to say we are a communist state and free speech was being suppressed. And there were lots of other letters of adults reveling in taking away a rock concert.
July 22, 2025 at 7:38 PM
Allegedly, aside from his “ties” to satanic worship, the Diocese of Scranton was getting inundated with threats of protests outside the venue if Ozzy came to town. It was enough that they eventually canceled the show, two weeks before it was set to happen.
July 22, 2025 at 7:38 PM
The announced show sold out its 4,000 tickets in like a day. And, a few days later, rumors began swirling that the show was going to be canceled. Apparently the reverend in charge of the CYC at the time had never heard of Ozzy?
July 22, 2025 at 7:38 PM
Rest In Peace to Ozzy Osbourne, an absolute insane person I never thought would die.

Ozzy is most famous in NEPA for a concert that never happened.
