Canada has lost its measles elimination status.
A sad day, a win for anti-vaccine ignorance and politicized public health, a new age where children, families, and communities will face additional health risks for no good reason other than the comfort of joining others with similar fact-less beliefs.

He is among the sickest men the world has ever produced.
One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

It's actually insane that the feds are promising to put more than double the amount of money they're putting into childcare, into AI.

Why not just set it on fire and dance around it hoping to sway the gods to our favour?

As a former New Yorker on the ground during the Cheney years, and a writer, I endorse this message
I gotta give it up to the writers tho. If NYC elects a Muslim mayor on the day Dick Cheney died, that is one hell of a slow played story arc. Every time you want to fire 2025's writers room they give you a little narrative resolution as a treat.

You know what’s scary? The cognitive dissonance experienced listening to the CBC morning show “reporting” on Vancouver ghosts and then the Current’s scientist guests rightfully indignant about scientific misinformation. Any kind of scientific misinformation primes the populace for believing BS, CBC

I must pick up parcels on Commercial Drive now; how do disabled Chinatown seniors do that?
