Yeah no spending 3.76 million per new job seems like a really good return on investment, couldn’t have designed a better economic system myself

I feel like I’m missing something here. Isn’t evisitNB just a webpage that redirects to Maple (not a NB company). What actual “services” does evisitNB currently provide ??

The government is giving a loan to a Crown corporation that should just be a public service that we pay for because it provides an essential task that Canadians depend on.

We don’t provide loans to the health care system or schools; we just pay for them.
Ottawa gives Canada Post a $1.01-billion loan
The federal government says it is making more than $1 billion available to Canada Post in the form of a repayable loan to help the Crown corporation.

I just know all the Saint John’s industrial businesses are really doing their part today to #shavethepeak too! 🙏
#PeakAlert: We are hitting our energy demand peak! Now is the time to reduce your electricity usage, if you are able to, to help shave off the peak! #ShaveThePeak

NB gov’t is seeking public feedback on the budget.

Funny how taxing industry to pay its fair share isn’t one of the options for feedback we can provide, though 😒

I’d love to see Avi Lewis win the NDP leadership bid this spring.

Here he is speaking with my personal hero Cory Doctorow about some very sensible but impactful policy ideas for fighting back against tariffs (7 mins)

Yikes. Province not meeting many of its most important targets and Holt wants to discuss…. CUTS?!? Liberals always manage to disappoint.

This is actually the laziest most ineffective policy I can possibly think of

The gov’t literally commissioned a report on this 2 years ago & you’ll never believe it but a wee one time cash payment & tiny tax credit increase ain’t in the recommendations

Mark Carney’s off making big speeches to distract from how he’s gutting the public service and by extension the capacity of the federal government.

As far as I can tell no grocery store sells vegan meatballs anywhere in Saint John anymore 😪 the Gardein ones used to be widely available. If anyone has a source plz let me know 😩

Watching the NDP become more cringe & wrong on every issue year over year is so depressing
Let me be clear: Mark Carney is selling out our auto sector. China gets 49,000 guaranteed vehicle sales. Ontario workers get "expected" investment in "three years." Our workers deserve guarantees – you don't protect an industry with maybes.
If fighting for Ontario auto workers wasn't important enough for Doug Ford to go to Beijing, what was?

Scott Moe flew to China for Saskatchewan canola. Doug Ford stayed home while Mark Carney negotiated our auto sector's future – with no one at the table negotiating for Ontario workers.

Quite frankly, it’s outrageous that Mark Carney is cutting Statistics Canada. If he was Stephen Harper or Pierre Poilievre, I feel like this would be getting a lot more backlash.

Carney of all people should know the importance of high-quality data and information about the country.

Holy shit for my 2024 predictions, not only was I so close to getting the Trudeau prediction right, I was months away from getting the Hudson’s Bay one too!

Wise before my time!

Once again, a bad year for my annual new years predictions. However, Holt did come in with a surprise finish on that gas pricing issue, so I’ll give her that one.

What should i include for my 2026 predictions?? 🧐
