Mom. Leader of the Official Opposition, Ontario NDP. Proud MPP for Davenport.
Max Simao loved going to school. It was one of his three favourite things.

In October,he was sent home early, because the school didn't have an educational assistant to support him.

On December 11th, Max was sent home again. That afternoon, he was struck and killed by a bus. (1/4)

Another auto plant closure in London. That's 136 workers being left with months of uncertainty about their jobs, their income, and their families’ future.

This is what Doug Ford’s Ontario looks like. Instability, fear, and workers being told to just hang on and hope for the best. (1/2)

"If you live in Newfoundland, you realize the big challenges you face require the whole community to respond." Marit Stiles grew up in St. John's, and that upbringing shaped how she leads.

Former Toronto Mayor David Miller says her biggest strength is listening to people.

Let me be clear: Mark Carney is selling out our auto sector. China gets 49,000 guaranteed vehicle sales. Ontario workers get "expected" investment in "three years." Our workers deserve guarantees – you don't protect an industry with maybes.
If fighting for Ontario auto workers wasn't important enough for Doug Ford to go to Beijing, what was?

Scott Moe flew to China for Saskatchewan canola. Doug Ford stayed home while Mark Carney negotiated our auto sector's future – with no one at the table negotiating for Ontario workers.

People across Ontario know something's broken in how our government is run. The question is: who's actually listening?

This summer, Marit Stiles traveled to 40 ridings, hearing from workers, families, and communities about what needs to change. (1/2)

Hey everybody, I wanted to share some incredible news with you:

Our end-of-year fundraising was record-breaking and for the second year running, we have more donors than Doug Ford's Conservatives and the Ontario Liberals combined. (1/3)

Pouring out a bottle of Crown Royal won’t save a single job.

What I hear from workers is simple: they want a government that will protect their jobs when they're at risk. That’s where Doug Ford’s focus should be. (1/2)

Doug Ford is a Jobs Disaster.

In a province as big as Ontario, there’s no reason the Eglinton LRT should be on its 15th year of construction with no opening date in sight. I stopped by Little Jamaica to see for myself the real impact of these delays: 300+ businesses closing and a community that was once thriving now struggling.

With fries inside!

If you’re in Sudbury, you really have to stop by Damascus, run by the Qarkouz family, for some of the best Shawarma you’ll find in Ontario.

In Coniston, I toured the Elmwood building, a 55-unit apartment where rents are locked below market for 20 years. This matters because it means people can afford to stay in their community. They don’t have to worry about being priced out or losing their homes.

Stopped by LiUNA Local 493’s training centre in Val Thérèse, meeting with workers and seeing how they’re training the next generation for careers in the skilled trades.

Stopped by my favourite florist in Davenport, Hills Florist, to pick up some flowers for my daughter! Ninety-three years in the neighbourhood, and truly woven into this community. Thank you, Melissa and Laura!

Following news that Labour Minister David Piccini is under investigation over the Skills Development Fund scandal, CP24 asked me why Ontarians should care about this at a time when the cost of living is on everyone's mind. Here’s my response:

One of my favourite things about being up North is how people here are honest about what’s working and what isn’t, and how ready they are to help fix it.

And look, when you survive winters like this...you build character. You learn to show up for each other. North Bay has that strength in spades.

Pitting application against application...

Pitting workers against workers...

Based on who hired a lobbyist connected to Doug Ford...

That's not how we do business.

WATCH: I got kicked out of the legislature for calling Doug Ford and his government corrupt, and I refused to take it back.

I explain why and break down the Skills Development Fund scandal in a new video.

Had such a great time at the Rendez-Vous Ethiopian and Eritrean Restaurant in Scarborough, celebrating the passing of the Ethiopian Heritage Month Bill. Proud of Doly Begum and Kristyn Wong-Tam for championing this bill, and the community leaders who made it possible.

The vile antisemitic terror attack at a Hanukkah celebration on Bondi Beach that took the lives of 11 people was an unspeakable act of hate and violence. To target people gathered in faith and joy is hate in its most violent form.

55% of Ontarians didn't vote in the last provincial election. People have lost faith in government because of politicians like Doug Ford.

That's my challenge. Getting out there and earning people's trust. Showing them government doesn't have to be corrupt. That it can change things for the better.

Time and time again, families are the ones paying the price for Doug Ford's failures.

Every dollar that's handed to Conservative insiders is taken away from workers and public services.
