Oooh, you mean 'red areas' are smart about food? The people who elected the man who destroyed their export markets? JFC
California alone produces a third of all the food America eats. So this is a lie.

But let’s break down the food produced by the red states:

Guess what percent is harvested by people from Latin America?

Spokane leaping from W to W
Wowzers! 6 out of 7 Spokane City Council seats will now be made of liberals and progressives 🤯
Zero votes left to count! It appears Sarah Dixit has won a seat on Spokane City Council by more than 100 votes. Because the percentage difference is more than 1% it will not go to a recount.

SEATTLE!!!

We’ve now taken the lead by 91 votes! 🤯 This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you haven’t tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!

DHS confirmed it has stopped automatically storing officials' text messages.

Instead, officials are supposed to take a screenshot, send that to their work email, download it onto their work computer and run a text-recognition program on it. Every time.

The Institute of Transportation Engineers (Washington State section) is holding their Safety Conference on Nov 19th at the Tukwila Community Center.

I am struggling to make it to the event, simply because transit connections to the Tukwila Community Center are abysmal! Non-existent, in fact!

a 50 year mortgage means monthly payment would be slightly lower over a 30 year mortgage - but the payment on interest would be nearly double the sales price.

an $800k home becomes $2.3M in payments. bye bye middle class wealth

So (long story short), I told my guy to just go back to spamming what works. Because until your opponent actually demonstrates that they can counter you, there is absolutely no reason to stop.

I am thinking about that moment for no particular reason, I swear.

Due to lax federal regulations (in fact, sometimes due to federal surplusing), the coast of Washington State is riddled with Russian Submarines (zombie vessels that will sink as soon as you look at them)
Last Thursday we responded to a sinking tugboat off the Kitsap Peninsula. No, not the Dominion tugboat which sunk earlier last month – this was another vessel, the Mollusk. The 64-ft tugboat lost engine power, broke free of its anchor & started breaking apart against the Kingston Marina breakwater.

This is such an easy solution to a problem and will save lives.
Having a four-lane, 40-mph road next to an elementary school is a recipe for disaster. Fortunately, residents of Cedar Park, Texas, recently got the design of this street changed so students can get to school safely.

I got this useful bon mot from a middle school teacher recently.

In response to, “I DONT UNDERSTAND,” he calmly said, “okay what steps have you taken to understand?”

And that’s when I realized that a lot of folks have no steps.

My feeling is this: It's OUR party, the oligarchs can go kick rocks
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

[me, with comically large megaphone]: "eliminating parking requirements allowed a mature tree to be saved"
Parking was one of the more controversial aspects to Portland's Residential Infill Project.

This newly built triplex at SE 16th & Morrison is a good example of how eliminating parking requirements allowed a mature tree to be saved. www.redfin.com/OR/Portland/...

Passenger rail services from Portland through Boise and Salt Lake City to Denver would be amazing.
