There are games where the OP’s arguments hold up, but I don’t think PF2 is one of them. Characters can pretty quickly build up a suite of options, we’ll call them Plans A through E. Plans A and B are probably “fancy Strike” and “normal Strike.” But it takes very little investment for Plans A to C

If you say 'heteronormative' or 'unhoused person' or 'food insecurity' you're basically talking gibberish and nobody can understand you but if you say you can see inflammation in children at the airport and that vaccines lower IQ or that germs are a myth you get to fire all the scientists.

My one-day hypothetical game will have some form of Pierce, Slash, and Bash as discrete basic actions. Weapon damage and traits will be linked to attack type. Armor would have varying strengths and weaknesses. Character abilities would build off of specific actions.
Imagine a TTRPG where instead of just saying "I attack them with my sword" you have to specify oberhau, unterhau, mordschlag, etc. as different kinds of attacks with different mechanical advantages and/or disadvantages, lol

I get people hate caucuses but if you get rid of them you get stuff like this by design.
Jacob Frey showed up to a DFL convention with barely more than 30% of delegates. Then the most normal thing happened: he lost. And bc he's a very special mayor, endorsement overturned! Proving the process goes much smoother if you shrink it down to a committee of party officials.
