FAO @evansolomon.bsky.social, who wants us to trust AI.
In our conservative estimate, 41 percent of Grok’s images — or 1.8 million — were sexualized depictions of women. Separately, CCDH analyzed how many were sexualized images across genders and ages. Their findings: an estimated 3 million images, including more than 23,000 of children.

This is quite accurate, really.

After a week, the two useful colours in the pen on the right stop working and you’re left with lime green and pink and your work looks awful.
yeah, just out of interest, how many people choose the pen on the right for real work or art? See a lot of them in professional workplaces, do you?

The digital sphere is a hostile space. Preventing kids from participating in it instead of or without also making structural changes to make it less hostile, strikes me as a fairly weak approach.

Will be watching for what else goes in the Online Harms Bill.

I know we're all seeing 87 unhinged things per day, but "guys if our multi billion dollar product doesn't start being useful for something, literally anything, the people might not appreciate us wrecking the planet over it anymore" is a truly bananapants thing to say out loud
Delicious to me

Is Doug Ford calling for a boycott of Subaru, Kia, Hyundai, Mazda, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi, and Nissan too? Most of them sell more than 49,000 vehicles in Canada and don’t manufacture any here.

This is all populist posturing that has nothing to do with what’s actually good for auto workers or buyers

This is a global far right power grab, so the sooner everybody realizes that and puts aside their deeply outdated notions around national identity, which got us here to begin with, the better. The only way out is through, but the only way through is all of us fighting these climate warlords together

One year ago, Elon Musk raised his arm during Trump’s inauguration celebration in a gesture widely recognized as a Nazi-style salute—hailed by extremists, excused by enablers, and proof that fascism rarely returns wearing a swastika.

one of the worst things about so many canadians being glued to cnn and msnow is that they import that approach to politics, such that you can’t ever criticize the libs or carney because they’re your team even when they absolutely need to be pushed to do better.

Whatever trust I initially had in Carney has steadily eroded since his election. I read the speech, and it was startling and good. I hope this is a turning point.
