I was doing a bit of digging, and “centrist” accounts on both X and Bsky are very likely bots. They post the exact same things at the same time without reposting. “Centrists” are often just right-wingers in poor disguise, so it’s better to ignore them and avoid derailment attempts anyway.

That being said, if you're using this as a “gotcha” to defend a piece of media you like, it’s unlikely to go the way you expect. You can enjoy things without paying attention to online discourse, and neither of these two franchises needs any defending given their success.
Now that we’re getting more .hack, the SAO vs. .hack discourse might rise from the dead again. Here’s the truth: a SAO like doujin predates .hack’s development by a year and may be the first Japanese VRMMORPG story. But it’s simpler than that, both drew from Usenet ideas, which were inspired by TRON
