I'll cut Walz some slack for not wanting to be a governor of a state who could be even semi-credibly accused of inciting violence, but I'm not surprised the primary emotion people feel about him right now is disappointment.

I don't blame people who were intentionally information deprived from not seeing how bad this could have gotten before it actually got there. But if you're a media pundit, you have to actively choose to be that mis/uninformed, so you absolutely deserve the rudeness you get for being this blinkered.

Probably been said already, but keep in mind that while ICE should absolutely be out of Minnesota (and also abolished completely), this is probably their attempt to spin their retreat into being deployed elsewhere. Start prepping in case they show up in your area.

'Why aren't they in the streets' is answered almost every day in my small town by people in the streets! Rather than asking 'why aren't they in the streets' it's worth asking 'why isn't your media showing them in the streets' and 'who is served by downplaying resistane in its myriad forms.'
The idea that there are no protests in the US and no one is standing up to Trump is proving incredibly hard to kill over here in Germany. It’s become dogma, utterly detached from empirical reality.

On a less hellworld note, I am amused by all the Youtube videos I see trying to explain why Alex in SF6 is a heel now. The dude has always had massive anger management issues and attacks people at the drop of a hat over misunderstandings, it's shocking they HAVEN'T done this before.

I know it's in part because the most recent Zelda games have Ganon as A) a giant ball of energy and then an enormous warthog, and B) a half naked guy who turns into a dragon...but it's still grimly funny that the Zelda set is directed straight at Ocarina of Time enjoyers instead of actual kids.
I have to say, they really nailed the aesthetic of the Average Zelda Enjoyer.
