Time to start ironically liking Myles and demanding amiibo, on the Smash roster, things of that nature

Where’s the official Q-Up coin available for purchase. I’ll settle for an .stl

About video game nag lines... I recall a few weeks ago somebody writing a mean piece about Ghost of Yotei, and one thing that gets overlooked is that lots of people do not play a game for 50 hours straight and are massively helped by reminder text when you take long breaks from playing.

Myles will say this
Some might say that attack was...SHOCKING.

Use Sync Strikes to take down powerful enemies and their minions in #HyruleWarriors: Age of Imprisonment on #NintendoSwitch2.

Having a sidekick character with a smart-alecky personality is some real designed-by-committee-for-mass-appeal stuff.

I decided to put my own Daily Planet newspapers in the Superman popcorn bucket.

I’d rather see airplane banners demanding Iger stop this than begging for a new Star War.

Starting to feel bad for Horizon. The core games are really good, but keep showing up exactly when some other big release has all the air. There was a Lego game for no reason. And now there’s a mobile multiplayer game with Make Her Sexy sliders that will get a server shutdown notice by next summer.

Starting to feel bad for Ratchet & Clank. They had a whole theatrical release and nobody cared. The good character designs are dragged down by the designed-by-committee characters. And now there’s a mobile multiplayer game that will get a server shutdown notice by next summer.

Geoff Keighley really is the perfect representative of the gaming industry:
-unreservedly self serving
-pretends to care about the people actually making the product
-loves to make performative gestures that ultimately go nowhere and help no one
-would almost certainly sell out to the saudis

Three times a year everybody talks about how much they hate Geoff Keighley and I'm so tir... no you know what, I actually love it.

Going to platinum Ghost of Yotei just so I get a nice congratulatory email from Sony with an offer to buy exclusive merchandise.

"themed to doctor strange" seems like a bit of a reach. Looks like a pretty normal fancypants bar with some Marvel props here and there.

This is the same studio the made The Finals, which also used AI generated voices. If you're not going to pay voice actors to do lines, pay designers to actually make your assets, and pay writers to come up with your story, then you shouldn't be making games.
Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.

They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.

A fun thing about the Pokémon TCG Pocket game is that now that they have added an option to give each other a card a day for free, we’re all just out here helping each other complete sets.

The Future Class was created in 2020 when a lot of companies responded to online critiques and broader social justice movements with DEI initiatives.

Hard not to read part of the subtext here as the TGAs, like many other brands, trying to distance itself from "woke."
EXCLUSIVE on @gamedeveloper.bsky.social: not only has The Game Awards not nominated a Future Class for 2025, it's told alumni it "does not have any active programming plans" for the award.

The Future Class page was taken down sometime this year—eliminating a definitive archive of honorees.
The Game Awards' Future Class program remains on ice
Future Class organizer Emily Weir has informed past honorees that The Game Awards has no active plans for the program.
