The last few years have seen the largest wave of immigration in American history. All those images we carry in our heads about people arriving at Ellis Island — we just surpassed that. Crime went down. Real wages went up. This is a fake problem. Enough is enough.

I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.

Closing in on a year later, and I am still (and exponentially!) angry about this. I'm tempted to reach out to my former primary care provider, to whom I described a panoply of symptoms, only to be told "You're discovering the 'joys' of perimenopause!", and inform her it was actually my heart DYING*.
It seems like there’s been quite the pendulum swing from “The medical establishment is not talking about perimenopause enough,” all the way over to “Let’s collapse so! many!symptoms under the heading of perimenopause so we can breeze through differential diagnose.”
