People who think that there are paid crisis actors protesting are out of their fucking minds. First of all, there are a lot of really terrible actors out there. Second, if an actor really did get a job as a protestor, people would know about it. They’d be hashtagging that shit.

I just discovered it was exactly three years ago today that I recorded for Chainsaw Man Episode 7, and got to lend my voice to my first named role (even if it's shared with... a lot of people), Eternity Devil. Never did green tea after a session taste so good on a raw throat.

Mac and cheese. Tastes like childhood, plus bbq sausage. Made with velveeta, butter, and cream (most use milk), back before it was mandatory to have six different fancy cheeses in your refrigerator. Something that could be made in half an hour by a stressed out, super busy mom on a weeknight.

I can't tell you how many times in the few game jams I've gotten to co-direct with @tintenseher.bsky.social for @teamelseware.bsky.social where I have a read in my mind, the actor does something completely different, and both of us say "yes, that's the take. 100%."
If your game has voice acting, then working with the voice actors is half of your writing process. It's not complete until you've heard it interpreted and reimagined by a voice actor. And they always reimagine it in ways that elevate the writing, in ways you never would have imagined yourself.
