I can't think of anything scarier than this.

The greenhouse gases we have added to the atmosphere now force over a billion Hiroshima bombs worth of heat into the Earth system every year.

Our current Healthcare SYSTEM...

An Analogy:

Patients are pinballs in a pinball MACHINE played by a high scoring teenage pinball wizard of the 1970s.

At least that is how it feels to me as a new patient.

What we must all remember from the Gaza genocide is that the international system is rotten to its core and needs to be completely replaced.

We cannot accept a system where Western governments and leaders can commit genocide and war crimes with total impunity.

Growing and preserving food is a lot of work, and access to land and time to do so isn't (yet) distributed fairly. But in the pockets where it is possible it's an act of connection, of divestment, of re-investment, and sometimes, healing.
Sometimes a little order is therapeutic. 4 months after we moved the pantry is getting organized

"The small stuff is the big stuff."

Full thread🧵👍
I think one challenge in living among so much uncertainty and tragedy is the way capitalism has taught us that our quiet, domestic moments don’t count for anything. (1/6)

The sun gives us 10,000 times more energy than we use.
A few weeks of sun is more energy than all known reserves of oil, gas, and coal.
The sun's energy is free.
Solar power was invented in the 1800s.
But yeah, let's keep burning the stuff that is quite literally burning down our world.💡

As extreme heat is forecast to invade most of the United States this week, health departments are warning people to take steps to survive.

"Strength is a collective power we draw from one another" 💚
Check on your strong friends. Ain’t a one of us operates in a vacuum. Strength is a collective power we draw from one another, and we’ve got to have each other. That includes the ones who appear the strongest.

Wondering what name it has given me..."lurker" or "picture-taker" 🤭. I love learning! 🥰

It’s 11:00 PM, and students have once again formed a chain around the Gaza solidarity encampment at Yale and have begun singing “We shall not moved.”

Earlier, organizers affirmed their commitment to staying the night despite the risk of arrest.
