I’ve been rewatching the Twilight Zone and finding several relevant and interesting episodes. The episode “Back There” is a time travel episode. At the end there is a very straightforward explanation of how generational wealth works and the advantages it brings to the inheritors.

The past couple days have made it clear that arresting and prosecuting Johnathan Ross isn’t just the right thing to do, it is necessary to prevent future violence by ICE who have interpreted the situation as “we can do that to whoever we want”

I’m sorry for having to do this so much all summer, but I’m trying to raise funds to keep our room until I get paid next. Stretch goal would be being able to get my phone bill current but the roof is the most important. Anything helps, even just sharing this far and wide.

being obsessed with IQ is a good sign that you have nothing in your life to give you actual meaning. (also a good sign you have bell curve-esque beliefs about human equality)
Coming around to the view that a certain kind of narcissist simply needs Musk to be a genius rather than a fraud, because they want to believe there’s a hereditary Brahmin class of accomplished, beautiful minds—and that they’re a part of that class.

Laws like this will not stop at porn. They will be used to shut down your podcast, your YouTube channel, your newsletter, zine, record label, etc. You'd be surprised to see how expansive the definition for "porn" can become when lawmakers don't like what you're saying.

America chose to elect a convicted felon, a racist, an adjudicated rapist, and authoritarian who incited an insurrection. Whether we like it or not, this is who we are. We chose to go back instead of moving forward. We chose darkness over light. I’m truly sad for us and for the world.
