What I was trying to say is there is a large faction of the party who would prefer the AOCs and Omars and Mamdanis were either out of the party altogether or had zero influence. These old timers are out of touch and would prefer to stay more conservative.

Yes, the democrats want so badly to keep to the center (I would argue center right party), they kibitz with the pundits about it. Then the pundits release “analysis” without doing even basic middle school level research.

As a 66 year old engineer (for 45 yrs), I can attest to this! These old tropes have been around a long time and they simply aren’t true.

There is a possibility it would be even lower without these policies. There isn’t a clear way to measure this. And, clearly these policies are positive for Finland’s citizens whether or not they impact birth rates.

I’ve lived just across the river for almost 10 year. I go to DC frequently during the day and at night, sometimes by car and sometimes by public transportation. I’m 66 and often I’m alone. I’ve visited many different areas in the city and I’ve never been afraid. It’s just such BS they are spreading.
