To everyone in Tennessee, there's still time to vote! 💙
Tennessee polls close at 7 PM CT. If you’re in line when polls close, stay in line. Your vote will count. LFG!

I imagine that the Felon watches the footage of those boats blowing up and cackles like a madman.

I was diagnosed with #HIV in 1998, when I was 30.
Many of my friends had died of AIDS. I did not expect to live to 50.
I’m 58 now.
HIV treatment works.
Treatment also makes it impossible for me to pass HIV on during sex.
Ensure HIV treatment for all.
End HIV stigma.

Let’s be louder than his hate today. Let’s honor those we lost by defending science, protecting care, and standing with the LGBTQ+ community and everyone affected by HIV/AIDS.

We owe it to history, and to each other, to never go backward.

Still early on in the "fugitive" storyarc. A lawman dies while trying to bring Hex in, and since he's handcuffed to the now-dead fella, Hex pins the badge on himself and bluffs some folks into thinking *he's* the lawman instead!

It's Day 1 of #25daysofChristmasComics posting project.
Showing Christmas themed covers from Superhero, Horror and Funny Books.

Gotta add this one to the chain, as it came out at the exact same time as JH#34 here!

Watched it earlier this year, and yeah, it's "Vertigo Hex" levels of crazy.

Being a Michigander, I reckon that cryptid will be either the Dogman or the Nain Rouge.
Capricorn: On the plus side, your death will prove that at least one cryptid is real.

"A judge had granted her protection, saying she could not go back to Sierra Leone because she was tortured there.

So Trump sent her to Ghana--and Ghana now deporting her back to Sierra Leone, where she was tortured during the war.

This is how Trump is getting around judges' orders.

Pure evil."
🧵This 58-year-old nurse from Maryland is seen being violently dragged along the ground by officials in Ghana.

Trump deported her there.

This abhorrent & disgusting abuse of a woman who saved American lives and cared for injured and ill Americans for 30 years.

All the details below are worse.

Every Thanksgiving, I break out my Grandma's china, silverware, and lace tablecloth. As I put that all away today, I wondered if any young couples bother with registering china/silverware patterns for their wedding, or do they use inherited sets like I do?

30 years ago this September, I went to a graduate student orientation session at CMU. Learned about the area, where to shop, Pittsburgh's transit system, etc.

The guy who gave the session was Scott Fahlman. The subject of this article. Inventor of the emoticon.

In contrast to the previous post about Tennessee ransacking their libraries, here's one talking about all the awesome stuff libraries provide for their communities!
FYI, your library has movies you can check out for the holiday weekend. They may have toys, board games, or activity kits to check out for the kids and grandkids.

The library is awesome and you should check it out.

FIGHT EVIL! READ BOOKS!
1. In Tennessee, public libraries have closed for up to a week to facilitate a Trump-inspired book purge.

Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett (R) has ordered most of the state's public librarians to remove children's books with LGBTQ characters or themes.

Always happy when someone new gets turned onto Jonah Hex.
New back issue read! Jonah Hex vol 2 issue 1 by Justin Gray, Jimmy Palmiotti & Luke Ross, wanted to give this a try for a while now and it was a pretty good debut issue with some great art #JonahHex

Part of a longer thread full of love for the 2-part JLU episode "The Once and Future Thing" because there IS a lot to love in there! I actually asked Dwayne McDuffie about this moment, and he said they tossed that in for fun.
"I reckon you folks are time travelers?" This moment still makes me chuckle.

The misogynistic fucks in the admin are trying to make it so that grad school certifications in female-dominated professions (nursing, therapy, education) no longer count as “professional degrees” & you can’t get loans to go to grad school.
The DoE has reclassified numerous health professional and other degrees, limiting access to federal student loan programs eligible for the higher OBBBA loan caps from thousands to a few hundred.

As ALWAYS, this is about $$.

We're about to become REALLY "great"...

Guys

Yesterday the President of the United States accused political opponents of sedition for calling on our service members to obey the law and the constitution.

He then amplified calls for their execution.

We cannot let this go.
Sen. Elissa Slotkin tells NBC News that Capitol Police are now with her 24/7.

"We've had hundreds and hundreds, if not closer to 1000 threats come in to our phones, our emails" since Trump threatened her and other Democrats.
