I and millions of Americans believe exactly the same thing Kasparov does.

Too many troops, too many new prisons, too much money not under Congressional supervision.

We're not just witnessing a mass deportation scheme anymore.

This is something significantly bigger and scarier.

The Moroun family put the Felon up to this, I guarantee it.
And we (🇨🇦) paid for this entire bridge.

American's had best wake up before it's too late to salvage what little is left of their global reputation (and that may no longer be possible). Do they not see how they're loathed internationally because of this administration? www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

If these places open, they will never close. There's too much profit to be made running prisons, which means they need prisoners to fill them.
ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

Very glad the recent All-Star Western Omnibus included the backups, like this one here from issue #10!
Bat Lash as the star “guest” at a shotgun wedding, with characteristically wonderful art by José Luis García López. It’s a storytelling masterclass.

I did see a version of El Diablo in Gotham by Gaslight: The Kryptonian Age, but honestly, I got very bored with that series and dropped out halfway through. If Hex showed up, I could be talked back, but otherwise, I prefer the original.

Day 2: Gotham by Gaslight

Went with characters who can blend in, if not are period appropriate. Jenny... Does what she wants 🤷🏾‍♂️

Sometimes ya gotta go with a classic!
He had no friends, this Jonah Hex, but he did have two companions. One was death itself. The other, the acrid smell of gunsmoke.

The media may be moving on, but the fight continues.

Columbia cancelled my 2024 class on Race and Media, so I decided to teach it independently anyway.

I made a conscious decision to include whiteness in discussions about race.

What we learned is how much white people have been kept in the dark about white martyrs for civil rights.

I have a favorite mug that says "God put me on Earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I'm so far behind, I will never die." So yeah, no dying until I'm done doing what I need to do.
What if we just refuse to die? Just say no thanks, I'm going to be a Literary Writer and live forever. I didn't want to be happy. I wanted to write books.

The public made noise for Liam Ramos and it got him released from Dilley.

Now we must make noise for 7 year old Diana Crespo.

Her parents were taking her for emergency medical care when ICE grabbed them, and she’s rotting in the camp sick and exposed to measles.

Get them out!

I had no idea that the talent behind Heavy Metal was basically wall-to-wall Canadians. John Candy and Eugene Levy's contributions were obvious, but the rest...wow! Bonus points for mentioning The Raccoons!
When Heavy Metal premiered in 1981, it was met with mixed reviews.
But this Canadian film, with actors like John Candy, Eugene Levy, John Vernon and Jackie Burroughs, is now a cult classic.
Today it is regarded as a landmark animated film.
This is its story.

We've got an update on Hex's whereabouts! JLU#15 reveals that the Waverider is still blocked from returning to the 21st Century, but Airwave was able to squeeze through a tiny rift that led him back to the Watchtower. So the League knows what's up, and will hopefully get on the problem next issue.

@darrenmooney.bsky.social wrote a fantastic thread here regarding J&J's All Star Western, finding a metatextual angle that honestly hadn't occurred to me. Seriously, click on his post and read the whole thing, it's an eye-opener.
Recently finished the “All Star Western” Omnibus collecting Palmiotti and Gray’s (and Moritat’s) run as part of the New 52.

It has its ups and downs, but I was taken with it as kinda the last Jonah Hex story,

That’s not really a spoiler, given the omnibus cover.
