Its obviously good, competent politicking to have some project you can just get done right when you enter office to start off on a good note. The fact he chose bike infrastructure to highlight for that seems targeted to appeal to me specifically though.

The main practical lesson I'd take from this (and every other example we've seen all year) is if you're betting on "prediction markets" and you aren't an insider for the US government, you're a chump who's just giving money away to insiders.
