NDL's OCR, now released, can read kuzushi-ji characters with such accuracy, despite the fact that it can be easily operated on a PC with a GUI. Please try it!

Also if you're in Wales SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL HERITAGE RAILWAY, steam engines' fireboxes make great incubators for dragon eggs and hatchlings, and the volunteers are only too happy to provide this service for these beautiful endangered creatures
May I just remind visitors to Wales that at this time of year the later dragon hatchlings are emerging. If you happen to see one whilst enjoying the spectacular Welsh countryside, please do not touch. Despite their size these little chaps breathe fire - and their parents won't be far away!

Couldn't go for a swim this morning because there was too much parent stuff to do, and I'm regretting it because I know that once the temperature plummets I won't feel brave enough (it's already solidly on the way down - 7.2°C yesterday, 6.6 today).
