The SF-Marin Food Bank, and other local food banks, need your donations and your volunteering. No need to call in another organization when community food banks are already doing the work, with (in the Bay Area) no requirement to prove need.
I would donate to such a project and volunteer. Everyone should have food and clean water.
If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net

@thimblewinder.bsky.social and I are ruminating on what our Service Bots would be like if they were trained on our zines. Hers would be too arch and mine would be dour and inclined to complain. Hashtag be ungovernable

Sadly this becoming an evergreen post
I'm sorry but the largest protest of my lifetime is not the 7th or 8th biggest news story in the country behind "what does Gen Z want from Instagram?" This shit is humiliating. Rearrange your layout to meet this moment. Omitting the thing happening in every American city is malpractice.

Think about libraries of things. In more and more libraries you can check out things like power tools, vacuum cleaners, cake pans. Commodities go in, the world we want comes out. More libraries please!

Got a printer? You can start fighting fascism. Here's a thread of things you can print and distribute. 👇

I promise doing something--even this--feels better than raging silently. And maybe it'll show you that standing up is possible and open you up to more things you can do.

There is a PDF download link at the top of the article.

Even if you can’t see or smell smoke, if you’re feeling tired, headachey, nauseous, irritable, or generally weird, even if you aren’t coughing or having trouble breathing, you may be reactive to particulates in the air!
Pro tip from someone who used to cover fires all the time: N95s and KN95s (and other masks) will protect against the particulate matter that will otherwise potentially get into your throat, lungs, and bloodstream and make you feel like total shit.

1. The world is ever on fire, this is today's conflagration;

2. If you don't find time for rest and joy the fire will consume you;

3. Don't let people shame you for being an entire human.

Tbh just fuck gender. Like in total. Have a gender identity, have none, change it, try stuff out.
Change your body and your style, not in a way that it fits to what people think of a gender, but in a way that it fits to you.
