As Outer Sunset residents, we know firsthand how unfounded the traffic nightmare claims are. Don’t believe us (or city data, or any maps app)? See for yourself.

To give you a break in the very bleak skyline, I made it out for a sunset bike ride for the first time since getting a stupid cold. It's one of the distinct December joys in San Francisco, especially now that we have Sunset Dunes Park. So peaceful and beautiful. Many people out enjoying.

🚨📸 Sunset Neighbors — we need your help! Our new District 4 Supervisor Alan Wong wants to hear from you about what Sunset Dunes means to you. While it’s become a beloved community space in the Sunset (on top of being one of SF’s most popular parks), opponents currently have his ear.

"Bartlett said that weekend brunch is busier than ever thanks to Sunset Dunes, the new park on the car-free Great Highway a few blocks away, and they hope new takeout offerings will ease the lines." We ❤️ Outerlands

What a new chef means for this S.F. brunch institution
There’s a new chef in the kitchen at one of San Francisco’s most beloved restaurants, but fear not: The Dutch baby pancake and slabs of crusty sourdough bread aren’t going anywhere.

Sunset Dunes is still incredibly popular! Yet some opponents want to keep arguing about it 🙄

Do you think SF should vote on it a third time?

Today, our new District 4 Supervisor, Alan Wong, was sworn in.

As Sunset residents, we know what our neighborhood needs most after a recall, two ballot measures, and a Supervisor appointee resignation: a leader who can show us the way forward, not work to destroy Sunset Dunes.

I’m proud of how the spooky L turned out! Always lovely to see so many families enjoying the Great Hauntway from all over the city.

Thanks to @sunsetdunes.org for all the work that goes into the Great Hauntway, and the support in getting the Spooky L authorized again.

🎃👻Come ride the @sfmta.bsky.social Spooky Halloween train to The 5th Annual Great Hauntway.

Great article about the benefits of having Sunset Dunes, a park, not an obsolete roadway near your business. www.sfchronicle.com/opinion/open...
We’re small business owners in the Sunset. Reopening the Great Highway is the last thing we need
OPINION: Some candidates hoping to replace Supervisor Joel Engardio are pledging to reopen the Great Highway and close Sunset Dunes park. That’s a mistake, Britt-Marie Alm and Poppy Gilman write.

@joelengardio.bsky.social had the courage to let San Franciscans decide the future of our coast. Sunset Dunes is already one of the city’s most popular parks, bringing joy to tens of thousands of people every week.

The most noticeable difference without cars at Sunset Dunes is you can now hear the ocean. No honking, no engines, no exhaust to breathe. I took this standing where the roadway was.
