One of the very last things to go into the 2020 Programme for Government (at about 2 a.m. in the morning) was a commitment to triple Local Link passenger journeys. Huge push-back, we were told it was impossible to achieve.

No coincidence the very first thing he did is blame the Jews. This is literally straight out of the 1930s. Say political opponents are to blame for everything, claim only submission to the right's views will bring unity, and employ the full power of the State to implement it.

It would be useful (and show journalistic integrity) if said fossil fuel CEO was identified as such by @businesspost.bsky.social, when publishing such an illogical, biased tirade against green policies. Sadly, gone are the days this newspaper was known for its strong climate reporting.
It will be a source of great pride for many Greens that the CEO of an oil and gas lobby group is lashing out at the lasting impact of our policies.
