One of the worst things about the BBC fiasco is that Kelvin MacKenzie keeps popping up on TV and radio as if he’s some sort of paradigm of fair and balanced journalism.

Spliced tapes or not, all the evidence you need about Trump’s involvement in the Jan 6 insurrection is the simple fact that he pardoned every single insurrectionist.

Remember: There is nothing natural or inevitable about extreme inequality; it’s the result of an economic system that values wealth and power over human dignity and justice.
It doesn't have to be this way.

Questions about potential conflict of interest as council’s Reform cabinet member for social care owns private care company
Lancashire’s Reform-run council has been accused of “selling off the family silver” with plans to save £4m a year by closing five council-run care homes and five day centres and selling off the land.
One of the care home residents, a 92-year-old woman, said she would leave only by “being forcibly removed or in a box”. Continue reading...

Who wrecked the criminal justice, system including prisons? Was it (a) the Labour Govt that’s been in power for the last 16 months trying to fix a broken country or (b) the Tories who were in power for the previous 14 years, deliberately trashing every public service they could get their hands on?

Good idea from Rachel Reeves…why not, energy is not a luxury. We need to make VAT more progressive actually. We have an official definition of energy poverty. In contrast there is no such thing as flying poverty - because it is a luxury.

So the Andrew formerly known Prince has gone. Can’t imagine he’ll be missed, but it must all be horrible for his daughters. Of much more real importance though is the continuing cover-up in the USA, with the Epstein papers not released and Trump, Epstein’s big pal, still in the White House.

He's planning to spend £75k on flags on lampposts across the county because it will “provide a feel good factor”.
Not SEND services, not youth clubs, not even pot holes.
Deform are not safe with your money.

At last! A BBC news report that managed to point out the prisons are in such a state that there have been over 200 accidental releases this year. The reason for this? The Tories came close to crashing the criminal justice system altogether.
