Seattle architects: how do you get midrise wood apartments permitted on streets that don't meet the aerial access requirements of Appendix D of the Seattle Fire Code? I see an exception for Type I/II construction, but I'm sure I've seen five-over-ones on tight streets in Capitol Hill or Belltown.

Damn Chloe... giving record store clerks a bad name.

The reason anyone can afford a centrally-located 1-bedroom apartment on a record store clerk's pay is because thousands of your neighbors choose to live in buildings built after 1960.

Maybe be nicer?

Hey #GoDucks community, I'm trying to help a brother out... what's the best way to eat cheap in Eugene?

El Super Burrito was my jam back in college, but it's been a few years.

My guy Mike Gundy is going to be in Eugene for the game this weekend and he's on a budget. Gimme some recs to pass along!

Potentially unpopular idea here… but I don’t mind seeing our local government move a little too quickly and too recklessly to tackle a “little” problem.

I wish they were using this power to add diverters instead of take them away, but it’s refreshing to see action over process for once.
Feature, not a bug? As it was sold during the early days of reorg/transition, the new govt specifically created PEMO to bust through the silos of the bureau-owners of trucks and crews to solve street-level problems. The "direct order" from the Mayor (or CityAdmin'r) if not express, might be implied.

The Moda Center is a national leader in sustainability within the NBA and across the entertainment industry.

WE MUST DESTROY IT!!

When a taxpayer funded public university needs a new arena, it’s totally normal to go to the business community and solicit private money to pay for it.

When a private, for-profit company like the NBA needs a new arena, it’s totally normal to ask the government for public money to pay for it.

Why?

The players' union met with the WNBA Thursday and came away frustrated with the economic model proposed by the league.

It irks me the way Portland Diamond Project has co-opted and redefined "jock tax" and the local media is just running with it, without question.

SB 110 is not a 'jock tax'. Jock taxes raise money to benefit the state/city. This diverts money from the state to a [still unnamed] billionaire.

The plan needs to overcome questions about funding and the stadium site. Backers also need an owner willing to spend billions for an MLB team.
