I started playing in early July 2020, a handful of days before 5.3 dropped. It’s wild to think about how I was one of the last people to experience 2.0/2.X as it was before some significant streamlining.

Canonically, Strix specializes in colormage, and keeps up with at least the theoretical basics of the other DoM jobs. I have one of each non-DoM role for combined role quest stuff.
Her RDM looks a lot more like naginatajutsu, and I sub in RPR to represent it because I like the playstyle better.

I'll keep saying it but arcadion having the opportunity for commentary on child exploitation for the sake of entertainment and instead opting for "the president was so nice all along actually" is such a waste of a story, especially when the writers insist the characters aren't over 20

My sentimental answer is Apocatastasis, both because I think the story implications of a resistance buff that can't apply to the caster are fun and because it underlines the Western Esoteric/Hermetic flavoring of BLM

TBI symptoms like amnesia are said in ARR to be a normal side-effect of aetheric bombardment. That works fairly well regardless of how I headcanon stuff.
