fun fact: tobias has a similar affliction to aster, where the influence of light makes him hunger for aether. though with tobias it's far more of a physical craving and not tied up in mental issues. he just hungry.

random fun fact, david is from shaaloani and ended up in eorzea by hitching a ride on a boat going out from tuliyollal into limsa. he was on the run since he pissed off some very powerful people in the area and needed to get the fuck out of there

hmmmmm ... instead of the exarch, tobias could absorb the light from david and turn into a giga lightwarden himself for a minute - since he's already like 30% sin eater, he would be able to handle it
