Knackered, middle aged, wildlife enthusiast, gardener, ex-carer, keen on Classical Greece.

Big fan of lifelong education and learning. For others.

Campaigning for greater awareness of "Dimesmeric Andersonphospate" and it's ills.
Don't forget that Everton played well with some really good individual performances.

I didn't expect that from them.

Mueller found a lot of links between Trumps Campaign and Russian intelligence. They would have found more yet they met with lies and evasion.

There again, Trump asked Russia on live TV for help with Hilary's emails.

Farage always looks to be gurning, the big-gobbed toad.

Whilst sitting my A levels our class went to see a play and I was cheered to see Bullet Baxter as a Regency toff.

I wouldn't mind a bit if it was boycotted. It's probably going to be awful anyway. Trump and his goon strutting all over it.

I started writing something yet it got progressively more bitter so I stopped.

There are some odd sorts on allotments. Quite awful behaviour - transgressive even. A shrink would have a field day with some of our plotholders.

Me included I guess. I have an obsession with making compost.

Is this about the Epstein files again? They must be very damaging.

Is that a view from the person who punched you?

After a while I felt bad others couldn't win and I was just trying to beat site records. So you take a year off.

When I grew a gigantic marrow that category mysteriously disappeared from the schedule afterwards, never to reappear. It was Covid year and the show was halted anyway.

Shenanigans!

It was great to start with. There was a biggest and heaviest show with some flowers, cakes and stuff in there and ppl would just put their largest veg in. When I joined I tried to grow monsters and other ppl would try too. It was fun.

We seemed to have cooled off a lot of late.

I've already boycotted US Bourbon. Haven't you noticed?

I made my nephew one, I bet he doesn't even use it. I shall ask him and get back to you. I can see you must know.
January 17, 2026 at 6:09 PM
It presents it's answers so nicely though. 😀

I suspect it also flatters a lot, it tells me I ask good questions, make factual statements, raise interesting points and look pretty in that shirt.

It's stealing peoples' work that irks. That and using too much electricity. Plus, that shirt did not make me look pretty in the slightest.

If ever the Supreme Court needed another reason to stifle Trumps excesses...

An actual green revolution, not simply electing people who won't have a clue what they're doing. I'd prefer it if they did, yet given the populist route taken by someone I can't help but think is a chancer is not the way.

Splitting the progressive vote will let the nasty folk in. Like the USA.

Nobbling has also occurred at our site. Someone pinched my prize-winning long bean off the show bench! I laugh now, yet I was pretty miffed at the time.

I quite enjoy the shenanigans, it's so childish as to be funny, I hope I keep thinking that way though.
January 17, 2026 at 5:28 PM
It's what keeps gardening interesting.

You could entertain the notion that someone nobbled them.

Whenever I lose a piece of equipment I inevitably end up thinking someone's pinched it, it has happened, yet I usually find it these days and apologise to suspects (in my head!)

I increasingly use a lot of liquid seaweed. I used to get by with just one or two small bottles a year yet now it's around three of four big bottles. Possibly I have too may things in pots, waiting for a final berth in the garden.
January 17, 2026 at 4:24 PM
I tend to remember one thing about a vegetable and do that too much and stuff it up. Seems last year I would often mutter to myself and others that "Leeks are a heavy feeder", then feed it until too late in the season and upset them.
January 17, 2026 at 4:23 PM
I asked for you. I use it a bit to indicate further study. Yet I'm against AI for all the usual reasons. I blame my nephew for starting me on it.

I often argue with it too.

It suggests nothing too "hot", be cautious, garlic prefers steady, moderate nitrogen. Maybe liquid seaweed, worm tea or some general fertiliser from a shop.

I was in the British Humanist Society yet had to withdraw as humans started doing my head in (in reality, I had to ease back on my subscriptions).

I doubt they'd have me back now.
