You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

@shaheen.senate.gov you hear that????? you better not vote for this bill.
🚨 SCHUMER just now: “Senate Democrats will not provide the votes to proceed to the appropriations bill if the DHS funding bill is included.”

Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now

I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening.

The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.

HB1703 is absolute trash. I used far more colorful language with the prime sponsor yesterday.

May as well install a toll booth at trail heads and make sure to charge people a tax on their sneakers, too, for walking on the same trails.

The purported goal is to fund cycling infrastructure. This estimates it'd bring in 400k a year. Not very much. And not clear how you provide proof you own the bike? I'm for the goal but this feels like an anti-cycling bill.

@wandrme.paxex.aero curious how you see it?

Speaking of which, did you know that Chris Pappas has not actually been anointed by God as the Democratic nominee? Did you know he has an awesome opponent who actually believes in things? I KNOW. Her name is @karishmaforsenate.bsky.social and I need everyone to stop acting like she doesn't exist.

condemnation is nice, but what *action* are you taking about it.
Attempts to politically weaponize the DOJ or violate the independence of the Federal Reserve must be condemned and stopped immediately.

This is an abuse of power by President Trump and his administration. I will continue to stand up for our rule of law.

It’s overwhelmingly clear - UNH students don’t want firearms on campus. Arming students doesn’t make us safer.

HB 1793 should not become law.

america existed relatively functionally with extremely minimal immigration enforcement until way longer than most people assume. the first serious efforts to bar people from entry were explicitly born out of racist paranoia towards a wave of chinese economic arrivants

IMO the argument is that you can make things into big enough deals that it matters. Khanna found Massey and found survivors and made the Epstein Files the gigantic story it should be. Only then did establishment Dems come along. You can, in fact, make things into big hairy deals if you do it right.
if you want the Senate to do something, Senate Republicans must do something.

People are dunking on this but I'm not really sure what plays Schumer has other than to try to peel off Rs.
Schumer: "Republicans must -- if there was ever a time, they must step up to the plate. This is the time. And if they don't, they're gonna feel the heat from their constituents."

not sure what base Schumer and Jeffries are trying to play to.

Like I’m pretty “vote blue no matter who” (out of pragmatism not agreement), and the last few months have me looking for other options.
