Might as well, right?
Greater evils have to continue to exist and be all-pervasive because if we ever defeated them, we'd have to turn our gaze to the lesser evils and grifters on our own side and none of them want that.

The more I'm forced to look at this, the more I grow to love it and realize that it's kind of part of my aesthetic to some extent.

Hey, I got a thing up today! Unfortunately can't pin this one due to eligibility graphic stuff
We've all got a favorite dragon... Falkor, or Toothless, or maybe Smaug? But what about the truly horrifying dragons lurking in the pages of horror, weird fiction, and dark fantasy, waiting to unleash chaos and destruction?

I was disappointed that not only did How To Blow Up A Pipeline not contain any practical information, but the guy who wrote the book never once blew up a pipeline or even wanted to, but was perfectly happy to let others blow up a pipeline while he sat in the comfort of his home.

Hey Bluesky peeps, could you help spread the word?

My Shirley Jackson Award-nominated gothic fiction book THE ATROCITIES is on sale today for $1.99 on Kindle. I have no idea how long this sale will last.

Stop experiencing existence around me, it just makes me upset because I can only experience the external world as a yearning for what was, even if that was is only ten seconds old

It's a shame Where Winds Meet is all I'd want from a wuxia-focused Ghosts of Tsushima-style game, because the "smart customization" feature is AI.

I want someone to pick up the scrapped Bloodlines 2 and publish it

Top 5 film genres:
- Quippy action bullshit where the heroes mostly get out okay all mostly written by the same guy
- Horror but it's funny
- Horror but it's grotesque
- "this is almost surreal"
- Unnerving fairy tale
Top 5 film genres:
- someone finds an evil book and reads it out loud
- loss or aimlessness is cured through platonic love and conversation
- people fighting but it looks like dancing
- fraud supply teacher starts student rock band for personal gain
- Keanu Reeves in computer or out of time
Top 5 film genres

-some Swedish person is really going through it in an isolated location near a body of water

-someone's mind and viscera are really going through it somewhere in Toronto

Why I view "anyway (people I don't like) read at a fifth grade level and this is proof" as a red flag in arguments.
I don’t know man, if everyone else has to be dumb in order for you to be the smartest dude in the room, you’re doing it wrong

There's someone I know who hasn't yet grown out of the "I hate everything unless it's unpopular or agrees with me" phase and they're smart, so I like when we agree, but also it's like "oh god why do we agree on this thing"

The amount a free-to-play game's plot goes hard is inversely proportional to how much that game looks like cutesy goonerslop on the surface. This post brought to you by Nikke being "Consider Phlebas but with titty gunners."

The exception is of course Reverse:1999, which is its own thing.

Describing my career tonight as "I do short story analysis at the Peppermint Hippo for singles" is probably a little too disparaging

My problem with the concept of "writing essays for myself" or "just write it on your own" is because I don't want to pay money to work on something literally no one will read

Watching zealots of the neocatholic ideology talk about "why would anyone choose to be catholic" is hilarious

The idea that anyone is loyal to a system of belief is frankly so naive as to be dangerous in the current era

I'm thinking from now on I'm just not trusting any goth from England who quotes Bertholt Brecht. Seems like all of them are just creeps.

Something by Peter Sotos and something different by Peter Sotos
Prompt: if you had to performatively display two books that you wanted the NYT writer profiling you about your career ending scandal to notice, what would they be?

To watch? Sweeney Todd, it's a ruthless and fun satire of class and politics that's blunt as fuck while still being entertaining and having some finesse to it.

To perform? Guys and Dolls. Those songs are so much fun to sing and you can basically get a speaking part and act weird.
what is the best musical of all time and please explain yourself so i know whether or not to be angry at you
