Everyone I share a cubical wall with (including my ex-husband) is out today. Ahhhh.... this is almost better than having the day off myself...ALMOST. I don't have to listen to folks eat lunch today! Its the small things in life.

I am going to hit that All Tomorrows Pettys show at the Turf tonight. They are always fun. I loved when they were like 3 songs in opening for THS & someone in the crowd hollered "so you just cover Petty songs?" Lead singer said "yes" and just rocked on.

To this day people can be really fucking weird when you are open & honest about suicide. My sister said its like we take on something heavy to make the person we tell about it feel better because we see the unease. We have always been honest, Depression kills & Guns fucking suck.
18 years ago today, I was setting up my new Wii & my sister called screaming "Dad just shot himself, get to Regions!". I kept repeating "don't be dead, please don't be dead, he survived...now he will get help, don't be dead." But there was too much damage & we had to say goodbye to my dad that day.
