Finally starting to get some battleaxes in progress using paint, pastels & marker on backgrounds made from paper bags, midcentury magazines & wallpapers & duplicates from my Babycham mat collection.
Just laid down the first couple of loose layers, a long way to go but it’s a joy to get them underway

Space saving device that you point at a record or CD and it removes all the filler tracks and rubbish, just leaves the good stuff. Changes the artwork etc accordingly, in fact changes the actual size & format of the thing. Loads of albums transformed into 10" EPs or 7" singles

Last night's dream: stuck inside something that looked like this. A long industrial building with a clear plastic wall that divided the interior lengthways, I worked my way along one side trying to figure out what the purpose of the other side was. One large fuzz-clogged area, I figured "asbestos"

Does anyone know what 'hoglemod' might be? Got a 1671 letter where someone is describing the first fort built on St Christopher as being 'a parapet of dead stake or hoglemod'. Not come across this term before and drawing a blank as to what it might be referring to.
