One thing I noticed in fic post S1 is that if someone wrote Izzy as a 100% evil manipulative villain, then odds were high they'd write Ed as a 100% powerless woobie victim, which does a disservice to Ed's character

izzy is interesting to me as a character because his anger and frustration is 100% justified but also he doesn't express those things in a way that's appropriate toward friends and peers. he doesn’t even see the characters as those things until s2.
