he's a pirate after all. there is nothing wrong to be violent cruel bloodthirsty mad and killing people torturing even just for fun etc since you're a bandit and criminal and outlaw. but it is NOT okay to justify it or even trying to explain or whitewash with traumas and your headcanons

I just don't want to hear anymore "character interpretations" that are just fans patting themselves on the ass for correctly identifying the antagonist. I think using character interpretation time to affirm with one another which characters we're supposed to find sympathetic is inherently divisive
