According to the new rules, if you and a few friends go to a defense contractor’s testing facility and you say “where are the missiles” and they don’t let you in then all federal funds for defense contractors will be frozen

And I think liberals should stop taking the bait and ceding ground on immigration.

Immigration is good. Multiculturalism is good. Free trade is good. Stop being embarrassed to say so.

5 million-plus kindergartners now live in counties where schools don’t have “herd immunity” for measles, Washington Post reporters found.

WaPo also built a tool to look up your own county.

U.S. vaccination rates are plunging. Look up where your school stands.

Childcare centers, especially non-profit, barely break even in good years. Many benefit significantly from the steady stream of revenue that Federal programs like Head Start provide, and these also obviously provide access to low-income families, shrinking the wealth gap on childhood development.
This is Trump’s long game.

We’ve spent years cracking down on fraudsters. It’s a serious issue - but this has been his plan all along.

He’s politicizing the issue to defund programs that help Minnesotans.

This is exactly what I was saying would happen. You take a society with a population this size and run off it's working age population with anti immigrant bigotry, you kill the industries your tariffs don't.

US tariffs are taxes on Americans.

They are taxes on Americans who buy any product with any ingredient or component from overseas, which is essentially all of us.

The President has said that other countries pay his vast new taxes, which is a numb lie. We, Americans, pay his tax.
Actual 2025 tariff rates are, to date, far less than statutory rates, but the costs of the tariffs are mostly borne by the US – estimated tariff pass-through to US prices in 2025 is 94%. Tariffs on imports act like a 1 to 2pp tax on US manufacturing. brentneiman.com/research/GN2...

WOW. The lead plaintiff is a Latino man who's been here legally for 24 years. He was grabbed off the street by plainclothes federal agents who didn't even ASK about his status.

He was detained overnight and only released once a supervisor realized he had been illegally arrested.

These types of suite carve-outs should be classified as kickbacks and punished as such.
Want a nutshell summary of how bad this Kansas deal is for taxpayers? So bad that the state couldn't even get the team to comp food for its suite. Even after agreeing to give the team $2.775b.

We're deporting people based on the dubious claim that immigrants drive up housing prices, and those higher prices are also a good thing...
