Yup. I said this earlier today, but it was only a guess. Thanks for confirming it. It is no coincidence that of the 8 who came forward to do this, none of them are running in 2026. But they ran cover for some who are.

you’d have to rebuild so much financial, political, and legal infrastructure, and that’s a lot of capital to expend when you can just directly choose your nominees for the democratic party in a primary. this is pretty straightforward imo
Parties are shells that are continuously remade. Compare Ds/Rs in 1868, 1904, 1932, 1972, & today on class, race, gender, immigration, & religion.
Most of us want more parties, but that isn’t* viable w/o proportional representation.
Since 1972, all nominees are directly chosen by voters. Do that.

Indivisible is not playing. Warner thinks his constituents are rubes. It's time to replace him with someone who actually opposes fascism.
Warner is up for reelection. He was widely seen driving towards surrender behind the scenes, but he's voting no in public because it's unpopular. The real question is whether he supports a senate leadership change. If not, someone who supports senate leadership change should primary him.
But I cannot support a deal that still leaves millions of Americans wondering how they are going to pay for their health care or whether they will be able to afford to get sick.

I do think if elite Dems (Newsom, Prtizker, recent winners in VA/NJ etc) turn fire on the defectors i think that'd be more effective than phone calls
It is very notable that several Dems are putting out strong statements that effectively backhand members of their caucus
I’ve voted 7 times to reopen the government in a way that holds Trump accountable for his lawlessness and prevents a health care crisis.
I’m prepared to work toward a compromise, but this “deal” before us does not come close to meeting those terms. Voting NO.

Sign of the state of sports media today that the guys at CBS NFL Today went around talking about the best parlays on FanDuel(TM) and Matt Ryan paused for a split second to say "by the way, Colts just won in overtime" before going back to hawking the money vacuum to young male viewers.

Black American soldiers literally dug these WWII graves. Traumatic. To acknowledge that fact at a cemetery they helped construct is something the Heritage Foundation cannot accept. As Veterans Day approaches, never forget that this country both compels and disrespects Black military service. Always.
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️
