Accidentally becoming an anti-AI hipster over here.
I agree with this and I’m still feeling good about becoming an anti-AI hipster over here.
At the end of the day, Generative A.I. is nothing more than a plagiarism machine. It will never birth the next Dr. Seuss, Jim Henson, David Lynch or any other artist known for their unique and creative imagination and storytelling.

Update: A colleague down the hall notes that if we went with "meter newtons" it would abbreviate exactly like "millinewtons", and I am devastated to recognize that he is right.
Okay, #iteachphysics crowd, torque is defined as the cross product of the (lever arm) displacement vector and the force vector.

Shouldn't that give us units of meter-newtons?

So why do we use newton-meters?

Too many treat loss of public education as unfortunate collateral damage. But there is no greater democratic institution than the one responsible for renewing faith in and principles of democracy for each generation.
We lose public education, we lose the long game, the short game, the whole goddamn game, people.
"Should the school privatization agenda succeed, our education systems would be beyond all recognition—exponentially more stratified, segregated, and sectarianized than they are now, further balkanizing an already bitterly divided nation."

I know this is obvious. And I know we all know this.
But if the President can raise taxes because an advert annoyed him, without even consulting Congress, then the US constitution is simply not functioning as intended.

I'm not a fan of Woody Allen, but Annie Hall is a really good film. The best part may be that they don't get back together at the end. The first time I saw the movie, I expected that they would, but knew they shouldn't. The point of the story is that Annie can do better than him.
