A solid 10 Nov deep cut.
I have eaten
the sailors
that were in
the ore ship
and which
you were probably
saving
for Lake Huron
Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

Everything just got better… A lovely Manhattan up in honor of my pops who would have been 91 today. First birthday since he left this Earth. He had a hell of a run, but I sure wish he was still around.

This well-known aquatint by Goya came to mind as symbolising where we are right now. It’s called The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters.

A less well know gem. You make a good point. It really is a richly rewarding place to visit for a few minutes. The quality of the design and execution is top notch. We just don't get public art of that caliber much anymore. Magical, indeed.

Philadelphia resonates as a true working-class city, with the labors of immigrants on every street and the hearts of the affluent generally in the right place. The city provides open space for the public to appreciate art, architecture, music, and history. Looking forward to a return soon.

Beautiful meditation on the tiny beautiful worlds we have all around us, if only we look.
PHILLY
I stepped out to walk across Philly last night and get a sense of things. City Hall always captures me here, Philadelphia has maintained its European layout and much of its early architecture.
