Hope to retire at some point but the universe keeps throwing a wrench in my plans. I Love to take pictures of our Nova Scotia wild flowers, and when the lake's not iced over, I can be found on a lake in a dragon boat or a paddle board.

Sometimes we need a break .... just hanging out with some friends.... 💙
These three are clearly up to shenanigans. I can tell. I know what to look for.

My Grandmother was a complete badass. Stuck up in the Barrens on a trap line with my Grandfather and Great Grandfather, she was raising two sons, making friends with her neighbours and providing for her family. I wish I was able to meet her and hear her stories. 1/2

What has happened in America that someone actually felt they could legitimately ask - and expect an answer to - this a question? This goes beyond politics.
Seize that caller's electronic devices
I'm as flabbergasted as Dean on this one. Unfuckingreal. First off, it's illegal but more than that, some children never get over such abuse. Some adults never get over it even with therapy. WTF is going on in this country?

Here is another example where scientists have generated systemic immunity against human papilloma virus using nasal delivery of a cationic nanogel containing the HPV16 E7 protein as an antigen. In addition, an anti-tumor effect was seen. Game-changing!
Vaccines save lives.

WeRateDogs turns 10 years old today! A very silly idea to numerically objectify dogs has become one of the kindest and most powerful online communities ever. Thank you for joining us over the last decade. I never knew what this could be until you all showed me. Here's to many more good dogs ❤️

@matthew-wright.bsky.social this is worrying and one to watch.

🚨 A project to track and contain menacing animal viruses across seven countries, from avian influenza in poultry to Lassa virus in rodents, ended with a single email.

🚨 HEADS UP

Washington State has reported a suspected human H5N1 case with no cattle exposure likely bird-linked (or from contaminated milk).

The patient is severely ill in hospital.

Clade pending (D1 vs B3). CDC confirmation awaited.

If confirmed, it will be Washington’s first H5N1 case of 2025.

So…. yeah… this is what happens when you don’t cull flocks with H5N1 and migratory birds haul it around.

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

Exactly! My neighborhood was livelier during WFH, and local businesses were really benefiting. Now we all have to haul ourselves downtown again, and the majority of people around during the day are parents on leave with babies and folks killing time until the local shelter opens in the evening.
When Covid caused NYC offices to hollow out what they found was that yeah the core business districts suffered but the neighborhoods where people actually live, thrived.

All WFH means is rethinking business districts, not cities.
if you cant go in to the office 3 days a week then you really can't complain when cities are hollowed out. cities are places where ppl work and network. getting rid of that makes cities useless

We have reports of snow down on HWY 102 between Truro and Brookfield (exits 14 and 12)

One caller told us the roads are covered, so you can't see the lines on the HWY

Be careful in the area - and maybe don't go that way if you don't have snow tires #HFXTraffic
