A somewhat heavy and... vulnerable thing for us to write. Be careful about reading it.

Getting this out there now, we've been bouncing back and forth on writing something like this for a few months now given the situation and everything. We would've added alt text but, alt text's character limit.
We've spent a while debating if we were going to write this, but we figure we might as well get it out of the way. If for some reason we don't manage to make it through this year, we have two things we want to stress. One, we've tried our damn hardest, and two, it was things out of our control, at this point. A very select few that follow us on here know about how... trying, the past thirteen years have been. We've been drifting around a lot, constantly struggling to make ends meet, way too many moves to count (almost a dozen of those happening in the span of three years), ontop of being disabled and running away from a shitty family with no money and no plan at the age of twenty, thirteen years ago. Realistically this comes down to a point of housing, and some might think 'being homeless isn't a death sentence' or something similar, but we've lived it several times at this point. It's not really feasible, with our mental state, our physical state, the shit we've been through. We know that several of you have heard our tangents about American 'support' systems, things like SSI and all that; finally getting SSI after spending more than a decade fighting for it made us realize that it's not even really a foot in the door in terms of getting to stability. American support systems, at least the ones that're accessible to us, and many others like us, are essentially just killing those like us, and potentially us. You're not allowed to save, you're not allowed to have income, you're not allowed to marry, or you forfeit the pittance they decide you've debased yourself enough to deserve. The measly amount of money that can't afford even a studio apartment, that they're more than eager to take away at your 'review' in a few years from your initial award. Sure, you can rent with others, which has been the whole operating plan this past year with our partner, but again, the top of this paragraph means finding the right situation for that is extremely narrow. please don't do this. especially if it's your first time in someone's stream. we don't get to turn this off, and for many of us (including me), streaming is a secondary or even primary form of income.

just get up and get some water or a snack. the content will still be there.
