Snowdrops, forming a winter heart.

As I gathered them, their stems inclined and curved of their own accord, settling into the unmistakable geometry of a heart. Nothing forced, nothing arranged — only the quiet choreography of living forms finding balance.

A Valentine written by winter itself.

Perhaps a better way of saying this would be to say that in just his first year in office Donald Trump ordered the illegal detention of well over 4,000 human beings—and that that number is undoubtedly wildly low because it only considers those people who filed lawsuits to try to regain their freedom
A Reuters review found that immigration detainees have filed more than 20,200 federal lawsuits seeking release since President Trump took office, with hundreds of judges ruling more than 4,400 times that detentions were unlawful reut.rs/40gfILP

Just reading reports of the Rubio speech and yes across Europe and North America there is a battle against nationalists. In some ways the overt statements of this administration help. Also the fact statements are so completely loony. But still a battle to be won.

The main argument against rejoining the EU is that it would "embolden Farage".

Bullshit. It would expose Farage.

It would force him to oppose the majority of voters, remind them that his last "Great Crusader" left us poor and powerless, and force him to admit he wants us to remain that way.
