Hola, #canucks fans - does anyone know of a Vancouver bar/pub/whatever that'll be showing the game today? World Series is going to overtake screens and audio at most places, looking for a place with audio

Hey all - if you're in Vancouver and you want covid and/or flu vaccines*, Rexall is doing walk-ins. Info is on their website, call the pharmacy nearest you to check. I was in and out today with no wait. The Get Vaccinated system is a time-wasting boondoggle

*you really do. both of them.

This is straight out of Harper's playbook in 2013.
He announced end door-to-door delivery (making Canada the only G7 country without door to door delivery) after strikes/lockouts/disputes with the union during negos from June 2011 to Dec 2012.

Ottawa directs Canada Post to end door-to-door delivery of mail across the country
Directive includes shutting down post offices in areas that were considered rural, but are now suburban

The government is reducing service standards and Canada Post’s biggest advantage: its nationwide network.

This plan is about cutting back the postal service instead of investing to give it new revenue tools through things like postal banking. It’s shameful.

Same for striking BCGEU/PSA workers, USW 1944, and everyone else who's striking for a fair deal

A recurring theme in the party’s comments is that people who are tripped up by the malfunctioning verification process simply aren’t choosing to complete it. The implication is that hurdles = integrity

American voter suppression campaigns rely on the same logic. Reproducing it here is a bad look
24-year-old Emily Lowan signed up 1000s of new members for the B.C. Green leadership race, only to see them stalled by new vetting system—a sign critics say, of the party’s hostility to her insurgent, anti-billionaire campaign.

@readtheorchard.org reports on the controversy now roiling the party.
