3 years from when russia invaded Ukraine. When the USA told the leader of the free world President Zelensky to leave, and he replied "I don't need a ride. I need ammunition".

This is the first slide of every talk I gave in the last 3 years. This thread is about (quantum) science in Ukraine. 🧵
Rejected from Nature, rejected from Science, they published in PNAS...
There's video of Don Lemon outside the protest stating explicitly: "I'm just chronicling. I'm not with the group." Bondi went to grand jury for an indictment after the courts declined to approve arrest warrant *twice.*

Legal experts explain here why this is so ugly:

Big week for me with Pitt journalists! Here is an outstanding article by the student newspaper Pitt News, and writer Brynn Hanna, about faculty partnerships with Ukraine including our work to transfer used scientific equipment to Kharkiv 🇺🇦 🇺🇦🇺🇦

Excellent article from Pittwire, thoughtful, accessible, by Brandie Jefferson (not a uni press release!)

Physics isn’t immune to the replication crisis. Sergey Frolov sees a way forward.
A critic of what he says are unjustifiably bold claims in his field, the Pitt physicist advocates for more data sharing in a new paper in Science.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Here is a temperature map (in celsius) of the USA today, during what is being called the "Big Freeze". Ukraine was colder than this basically every day from Jan 5-23. And thanks to the USA helping Putin, the country was starved of heat and power.

Enjoying the talk of Dr. Ivan Oransky @retractionwatch.com hosted by our friends at CMU @cmu.edu . What you don't see is the great turnout. Great that folks care and are paying attention.

The rarest of sights - a big glossy journal publishing negative replications! Yes, we had to bundle 4 replications into one article AND we had to wait 2 (!!) years in peer review, but here we are:

If publishing null results was a problem in my old field (physics beyond the Standard Model) there would have been, like, three papers in the past 30 years.
