I know there's a lot of dickheads and grifters using and defending GenAI out there, but it's heartening to see the sheer amount of people coming to the defense of actual creators and appreciating the work which goes into making art.

Using disabled people as cover is a classic move in a wide variety of realms: Don't fall for it! (Also ftr I have sensory sensitivity & find loud sustained noises stressful but I also live in a society & care about my neighbors. There ways to manage that don't require suppressing community care.)
There are people trying to stop others from using whistles, and next they'll say it's ableism.
As your disability advocate friend, I will be the first with serious sensory sensitivity to say that I would rather be in pain than someone get abducted, or shot.

My wife is not a Trekkie. She has thus far seen as far as Spock's Brain and fully liked maybe 3 episodes, Amok Time being her favourite.

Now that so much time has gone by, and I'm no longer really concerned about the ongoing state of the Superman comics, I'm finding myself oddly drawn to the New 52 Superman comics.
Something I've realised is that, none of the writers seemed to know what to do with Lois Lane.
