Dems flipped a TX State Senate seat last night which has been held by Republicans for the last 48 years. Trump beat Harris here by 17% -- 58% to 41%. But vet & machinist Taylor Rehmet reversed that, winning 57%-43%.

Reps had pumped $2.5m in compared to Dems $.5m to try to save the seat.

My favorite part of the Epstein files are the absolute random way that emails got redacted. The sender email will be redacted in the header, but left in the forwarded text.

Great article about the Umamusume/Broncos fandom collision this year. Particular highlight is this cosplayer, who created a character based on Blucifer, the horrifying horse sculpture at the Denver airport.

Do you think it's part of her backstory that she killed her creator? Because Blucifer did.

The violent occupation of Minneapolis started with a vlog. I've wanted to find a framework to describe Nick Shirley & others like him: "Influencer" is too quaint. "Journalist" is obviously wrong.

I landed on "slopagandist."

HERE WE GO I didn't know if these were public. We have a sign you can print for your business. Or you can print 100 of them and distribute them to EVERY BUSINESS in your area and tell them you'll feel safer patronizing them if they exclude people who might teargas your children if you shop there.
And if you'd like some, a lovely designer we know created them so we could drop ship 1000 to Minneapolis and the other designs are free for you to download, print at home, or have bulk printed!

Humans are basically the easiest thing to hack. The FBI knows this and will always use that method first.
Important: Kash Patel’s egregiously anti-first-amendment statements here and Cam Higby’s claim to have “infiltrated” huge ICE-monitoring chats do NOT mean Signal is somehow “compromised.”

“An asshole manages to get added to some massive + intentionally minimally-screened chats” is not surprising.
FBI is investigating Minnesota Signal groups tracking ICE, Patel says
FBI Director Kash Patel made the statement after right-wing media figures said they joined the chats and claimed participants were obstructing law enforcement.

In the past two months, I’ve found myself thinking back to an essay Ursula K. Le Guin posted on her blog in November 2016. It was one of her last long essays, and she wrote it at a time when she—li…

Courtois also frequently painted his longtime friend, studio-mate and lover, Carl Ernst von Stetten.

Less implausibly muscled than Deriaz, works depicting Stetten (a fellow artist) were less commonly derided as obscene, but their urgent yearning (and Stetten's impishness) still pulse with desire.

spending the day with artist Gustave Courtois (1852-1923), whose paintings are a record of the hot men he fell in love with - including his great muse, bodybuilder Maurice Deriaz.

When they were exhibited Courtois was met with a wave of revulsion from critics at his open, undisguised desire.
