I'm getting a lot of followers who may not know me, and I tend to only retweet if there's a concrete political action these days, so...

If you think trans rights are up for debate, or if you voted for Trump, or if you think the US arming Israel is just peachy, I don't want you around.
Me watching the women's short program and instantly developing a crush on Alysa Liu.

Me figuring out she was born after 9/11.

Whelp. There goes that crush and I will now admire from a respectful distance.

The wait is over!

A Fine Line, my debut contemporary rivals-to-lovers romance novel, is out today!!

Think Leslie Knope’s city council run in Parks and Recreation and the banter and teasing of Josh and Donna’s relationship in The West Wing!

Head here for your copy!

Today's feel-good story: a tegu rescued from the snow by a kind person in Providence, RI, has been saved by ET Reptiles & New England Wildlife Center. Usually, pet reptiles die in these circumstances, but frostbite treatment worked. @rickclaypool.bsky.social even visited the tegu + took this photo.

God I wish I believed in hell.
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

Apparently at said conference he also got the villain origin story for (and from) the toxic department head 🍿
Mr Sparrow has two oral presentations at a conference and his PI is stalking him around said conference and trying to get him to practice in front of the PI one more time. Unfortunately, this is very Reylo.

I'm considering adding a coop to my backyard, trying to do my research...and from everything I've read, YouTube is filled with too-small coops. Luckily there's usually at least one person pointing it out in the comments.

God I love the two groups of the chicken world. "I've got my nutrient program where I want it for my f2 trial. You gotta up the protein in the summer." vs "Glinda will not stop going broody! Anyway I bought some of the cutest chicken teacups."

The people who support mass deportation policies never cared about whether people have "criminal records," and I caution people who want to stop mass deportations that they should not focus on the "criminal records" either.

Sometimes having ADHD feels a bit like a disorder with "delusion of grandeur" as a symptom because part of me is convinced that if I had enough time and $$ I could develop a "desktop" small-scale in-ovo sexing solution for chicken eggs and save rooster chicks from culling.

A small but very deep thing that bothers me about generative AI as a shortcut to practice and work and skill is the basic assumption that it’s impossible to take pleasure in a creative pursuit that you aren’t very good at and I assure you that is not the case

My friend is sharing her Peacock account so I can watch the opening ceremony, I am excited, I am invested.
I loved the last summer Olympics, had a blast watching, but I am not feeling the delight and anticipation within me for this winter Olympics :( hopefully some obscure ice sports will get me more inspired. Also ice skating.
