Today is 1 year since 'The Exclusive Making of Space Law' was published online by the Leiden Journal of International Law. I guess that means I should stop calling it my 'new' article... 1/3

Interesting things happening in Chinese space exploration!
An early insight into China's plans for space in its 15th Five-year plan, & it's certainly ambitious & long-term. Areas include:
- Space resource development (Inc. feasibility studies for "Tiangong Kaiwu" major resource project)
- Space tourism
- Space-based digital infrastructure
- STM

"In the last few years, the number of satellite launches has increased by an order of magnitude. The pace of both launching & retiring these units is creating new kinds of pollution, potentially upsetting the climate system & the protective ozone layer."

Time and again, successful resistance to Trump’s authoritarianism comes from ordinary Americans putting their actual bodies on the line, when institutional leaders can’t even deign to use strong language.
Watch that. And then tell me how we replace Schumer with her

If you live in the Cities, an easy way to help immigrant families in hiding is: laundry! Laundromats are ICE magnets, so people without washers need help.

The People’s Laundry will drop off laundry to your door to wash and dry and pick up a few days later:

A protester is currently lying in a hospital bed with a piece of shrapnel in his neck 7mm from his carotid artery.

While he lay bleeding on the pavement, blinded in his left eye, gasping for air, agents did not call a medic. They dragged him and sneered: "You're going to lose your eye."

I wanna see a whole #StarTrek set of tv series and movies focused solely on the Klingons.

Every week a different episode on “You have dishonoured my house! My bat’leth will taste your flesh!” Every single episode. It would be glorious television.

Just a brief glance at history would show anyone interested that the US doesn't care whether the Maduro regime was democratic or not. The US has shown itself time and time again all too willing to remove democratic governments that don't represent its interests.

If your whole business model relies on stealing the labour of creatives (and justifying that) then your industry deserves to die.

Exactly.

If estrangement is growing, maybe don't blame the children and ask about the parenting.

But either way, 'no contact' is a perfectly cromulent strategy when dealing with people who have a lot of psychological power over you, but don't treat you well.

Found family is fine.
Yeah, no thanks.

Stop guilting people about being estranged from family members. It someone is they likely have personal reasons for being so.
