3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.
2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

For the record, there's no similar question about positive influence commentary about the set in the survey. This question is purely in here to try and place blame on content creators for how the set was received critically lmao this is insane.
i don't feel like magic set surveys usually have this question and i don't appreciate the implication that content creators, who do so so much for the game, are possibly to blame for a bad set's poor performance. 👎

I feel like this is something I should try doing at some point. I already am pretty stingy with the music I listen to so showing support for the few artists i listen to might feel a lot better than choosing between that and the evil that is Spotify.
we made the switch in 2025 to stop streaming music and start buying albums monthly instead and its been interesting. Beyond being far better for supporting the artists we like it also feels like we value the music we listen to more, when we don't have Every Song Ever available at a moments notice.

I think imma try to start blocking accounts that too much “unhelpful” political stuff. A lot of accounts are fine and actually report on Situations™️ but I hate when people post just really performative “are you seeing this???” type stuff, it’s so annoying
