when i encounter folks who assume color identity in edh is meant to uphold the color pie it makes me concerned that there are people who don't think the color pie functions or exists in other formats.
like, there is no color identity in legacy but i'm pretty sure it's not complete and utter chaos.

a while back they standardized a lot of cards with cost reducing effects to have affinity, but sadly, they did not update sea gate colossus to say "affinity for party". 🥳

if i have sound playing in a browser window, that goes in the left-most tab. you can't just have a podcast or music in a random tab. that audio is the background for whatever else you might be doing. it needs to at the front of the queue. obviously.

playing oblivion for the first time with the remastered version is great because you never know if a random side quest is going to be a 15 minute diversion or a 15 hour dlc...

I am super in the slippery slope camp for hybrid mana. If a card should go into any deck that can run it, why can't that then not apply to similar situations? Why couldn't I then run Esika, God of the Tree in a green deck that isn't 5 colors? I can cast Esika no problem with just green mana.

it's impressive how succinctly it nails the core problem with changing hybrid color identity rules from a format diversity standpoint and it absolutely still rings true almost 20 years later.

wow, somebody really believes in the dockside unban. all three versions are seeing ~330% increases over the past 48 hours. not sure if this is because of the avatar special guest card or what, i'm personally not a believer tho.

a lot of people dislike the "source material" cards because they just have low-resolution screenshots with chunky text slapped over top, but i also feel that removing the upwards sloping edges of the card info footer was a poor choice. the flat edge looks very sterile and low effort.
