Something sensational to read on the train
I would like the conversation around vaccines and autism to involve asking autistic people whether we would rather have died of a preventable childhood disease or lived our autistic life

It would be a moot question, since vaccines don't cause autism, but it would be nice to be included
HEADS UP: CDC website now officially asserts that vaccines may cause autism.“Studies supporting a link have been ignored by health authorities.” Also says the “vaccines do not cause autism” header remains b/c of an agreement with Cassidy.

This is yet another example of how you beat the far right. By beating them, not trying to be them. By having your own agenda, not aping theirs. With courage and conviction - and humour - not fear and timidity.

● Andrew Windsor remains 8th in the line of succession.

●King Charles III will privately fund his new living arrangements despite Andrew being very rich indeed

● Actually we don't know how wealthy Andrew is because his mother's will is sealed for 90+ years

● Sleep well serfs.

● Know your place.

Is this finally rock bottom for Mr Andrew Mountbatten Windsor?
Stripping Andrew of the title 'prince' is colossal, says the BBC's royal correspondent Sean Coughlan.

I love this statue and especially how the quote reminds us that the Suffragists and Suffragettes worked together and that both their approaches (lawful and law-breaking) were important, even though the men who wrote their history afterwards tried to make us believe they were at odds.
Gillian Wearing’s statue of Suffragist Millicent Fawcett, 2018, Parliament Square, London. The words are a quote from Fawcett on the death of suffragette Emily Wilding Davison, killed when walking in front of the King’s horse at the Derby,1913, to highlight the women's cause.

OK, I have very little time for any Royal or Pope, or Church for that matter, and Charles is an abusive arsehole, but kudos to him and Leo for this, this is an important moment and deserves to be a key point in both their legacies.

These protests deserve to be as eternally iconic as the pictures of anti-Vietnam protesters putting flowers in guns. Just amazing work from Portland.

Agreed

Absolutely no love lost for Michelle Mone, but I would be so pissed off if I was her

Yes, she took advantage of the VIP lane - but it was set up by MPs who have faced zero consequences

Hancock, Gove, Johnson et al should be in prison for misconduct in public office
She has but they also need to prosecute all the ugly men who’ve made dodgy money from PPE up to and including Matt Hancock.

But credit where it’s due her surgery is fantastic love that for her

There's no excuse of ignorance any more. Every single person on that fascist march knew who Tommy Robinson was and every single one of them knew why they were there.

This isn't Brexit. People weren't conned. They willingly went out to join in, led by a five times jailed thug. Stop making excuses.

If they only bring up "fairness in sports" when it's about the genitals of children playing the sports and never about, say, funding, you know they don't care about fairness in sports. They care about children's genitals. Which is not something any adult who isn't a creep ever wants to think about.
