I'm actually working on a research project on what elements and compounds are required to boostrap up terrestrial biochemistry, and sure enough, many carbonaceous chondritic meteorites have most or all of the ingredients. It's not surprising that microbes set up shop on the samples so quickly
I wrote about all this in my newsletter a few days ago.
