A Papuan Cuttlefish (Ascarosepion papuense) floating. Its two centre arms are raised vertically and curl inwards. The next two arms are going forward but are still in front of its head. The other four arms are a bit curved but are pointing down. The arms kind of make it look like a person who is embarrassed and is trying to cover its eyes. One of its eyes is visible, and the pupil is fairly large. It has papillae raised on its mantle. It is mostly a golden yellow but its underside is off white and reddish brown. Around its mantle opening and below its eye is some cyan and green iridescence. Its fin is translucent. The background is black.

My daughter made me an octopus who's upset about being anatomically incorrect 😭
A vivid purple octopus held in the palm of my hand. It's made of felt with white hand stitching and it has only three arms. A cute sad face is drawn onto it with marker. Same purple felt handmade octopus with three legs, flipped over. On the back in marker is written "HELP! I'm all wrong!"
