Every photo from Minneapolis looks like this. Cops decked out with guns and full tac gear facing off against people in bathrobes, parkas, and sweatpants armed only with whistles and cell phones.

Yet every verified MAGA chode on X dutifully calls it a riot or violent insurrection.

Uh, guys. Not that anyone deserves cancer, but before you get too homagey, you might want to remind yourselves that Van Der Beek was MAGA, QANON, and anti-vaxx....

my brother millions of metalheads around the world have been happily listening to incomprehensible Finnish shrieks and Japanese death grunts since we were teens, you’re just boring and racist

"During In Living Color’s first season, a marketing impresario approached Fox with an idea that would stick it to CBS, the NFL rights holder and Super Bowl carrier that Murdoch had in his sights: a special episode of In Living Color that would air opposite the Super Bowl intermission."
time to remind everybody that the Super Bowl halftime show only exists in this grandiose fashion because a tv show called "In Living Color" stole the ratings from the NFL; the execs notoriously said, "get me Michael Jackson's agent" and thus began all the pomp

I'm kind of digging the whole black outfit for Cobra Commander, which I've been finding quite a few versions of lately in my GI Joe purchases. Do you like the black or the classic blue?

Just a reminder that Ferbis, from the Haim Saban take on Kamen Rider, has front facing eyes. This means that Ferbis is a predator.

Firing a few key faces at the top while maintaining the the fundamental system is one of the most common appeasement tactics in history.

Don't settle for Bovino. Don't settle for Noem. Don't settle for Miller.

ICE must be abolished. That is the bare minimum.

Taking a moment to appreciate beauty among the mundane on a day that closes a difficult period for me, and gives me a lot of hope for the future, despite all the evil and intentional cruelty going on these days.

Almost every reason people have for defunding or abolishing ICE is also a reason to defund or abolish the police, yet many people who are rightly calling for action against ICE would never come close to doing to the same for police. But this fight goes beyond just ICE. ICE represents a larger issue.

I'm in the back half of The Traitors US S3, and I have never seen a single episode of Housewives, Bachelor(ette), or The Challenge, so I'm experiencing all these hilariously terrible people for the first time.

Got this beautiful Super Trooper the other day, and love it. I remember getting him back in the day, and he was a little ridiculous, but pretty cool. Who's your favorite mail-order GI Joe?

You cannot overstate how startling it is to see a politician just say the thing with clarity and poise. No fearful hemming. No overwrought qualifying down til it’s meaningless. No lingering sense that there is a loyalty to a donor class or an ideology of stasis that they’d never admit to.
Mamdani: "I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist. We're seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it's doing is terrorizing people."

Is there a job that requires employees to be able to immediately identify when a TV has motion smoothing/blurring on? Because that's something I excel at and would love to be paid ludicrous amounts of money for.
